Jugnu by Prayogshala

The learning app that tells your child when to stop.

Jugnu is a voice-first science companion for Classes 5–10. Your child talks it through, tries it on a live bench, then explains it back in their own words. Jugnu never does the thinking for them.

A mission takes about 7 minutes

Talk. Try it. Explain it back.

STEP 1 · TALK

Jugnu asks, your child answers

Out loud, in English, Hindi or both. If they're stuck, Jugnu gives a hint or a picture. It never gives the answer.

"Hold a steel spoon at arm's length. Is your face the right way up?"
STEP 2 · BENCH

A real experiment, on the phone

The bench computes real optics, so what your child sees is what the textbook's equation predicts. Then comes a challenge to solve with their own hands.

"Drag your face until the image stands upright and bigger."
STEP 3 · EXPLAIN

In their own words

Your child explains it like they're teaching a little cousin. That's when a lamp lights on their map and a piece of apparatus lands on their shelf.

"Far away it's upside down and small. Close up it's upright and big."
Try the bench

The inside of a spoon is a concave mirror.

Drag the blue face. The orange image follows the mirror equation, 1/f = 1/u + 1/v, the same one in NCERT Curiosity, Chapter 10.

Questions

Asked by parents and teachers

Is Jugnu a chatbot?

No. A small model decides which teaching move comes next: a hint, a picture, a challenge. Jugnu only ever says lines that teachers have written and checked, in one calm voice. It can't wander off into the internet.

Which classes and subjects?

Classes 5 to 10, following the new NCERT books. Class 8 science and maths come first, then 9–10, then 5–7.

Does it work in Hindi?

Your child can answer in English, Hindi or a mix, and Jugnu understands. Jugnu itself speaks English for now. A Hindi voice is planned.

Is my child's voice recorded?

No audio is ever stored. Jugnu keeps your child's first name, class, lamps, minutes and their written explanations (for 90 days). You can delete it all whenever you like.

Will it be another screen my child can't put down?

That's the opposite of what we're building. Missions are short, the discovery feed ends after 30 sparks, streaks allow rest days, and Jugnu goes to sleep at the limit you set.
